Tua Pek Kong Temple
The more than 100-year-old Tua Pek Kong Temple at Pasir Panjang near here has become a popular tourist attraction in the Manjung district. This temple is an attraction site in Lumut, Malaysia. It is famous for the gigantic God statues and the blessings. Many who went there to pray had won lottery. That is also the reason how it can change from a small temple into an attraction site. It is because Chinese believe that when you strike a jackpot, you have to donate part of it as charity. So, you can imagine how many donation it has received from these people, in order to turn it into such a beautiful place with so many giant statues.

Giant Statues
The main attraction drawing crowds of local and out-of-town visitors are 98 statues of deities and animals from the Chinese lunar calendar on the well-landscaped three-hectare compound. There are also 11 statues measuring between 2.1m and 14.6m in height on a broad-based, two-metre high classical facade facing the sea.
Taking centre stage is the gigantic Da Bo Gong statue, along with statues of Jiu Tian Xuan Nu, Yu Nu, Guan Yin Niang Niang, Jin Tong, Wu Guan, Wen Guan, Qian Li Yan, Ma Zu, Shun Feng Er and Hu Ye.

And then we have a picture of the big statues in day and night picture. The night scenery would look beautiful as they were decorated with colourful lightings.

When we reached the temple , it was very sunny and hot. So we decided to make a rest and to have some refreshment. As we walk in and reaching the stalls where you can get any drinks or foods you want to delight yourself, to our surprise the temple is still occupied with tourists from all over the places even though it is a weekday. Here is the picture of the tourists coming over and the famous coconut ice cream that we tried. It costs about rm7.50 for one.

This temple are not only famous with their god... but also here built with many other statue which you hardly see in other places... Here also display with most famous god in Chinese“十八羅漢”The Eighteen God, and others... Total up all the statue of Gods... it will come up to figure of 98 pieces. This is one of the statue that I took by portraying the same figure statue.

Next to the big statues was an inviting doorway to ‘Taman Monyet’, literally translated as ‘Monkey Garden’. The only monkeys you would see there are the ones in this photo. Just joking. You can hardly see any monkeys in this Monkey Garden though.
